If you have been around for awhile, then you know I have been talking and hinting about this particular change for well over a year, and guess what? We finally did it. And I am so glad we did because we are spending a lot more time in the dining room now that we are cooking most of our meals at home.

Black Dining Chairs

So what did we do? We updated our dining room chairs! I have been searching high and low for the perfect black dining chairs and I am excited to show you what I found. We swapped our existing chairs for the black TUCKER CHAIR from SERENA & LILY and I am in love.

As a reminder, here is what the space looked like a few years ago.

And here is where we are now! Don’t you love a good before and after?! I know I do.

Serena & Lily has so many beautiful pieces to choose from, but when I landed on these chairs it was love at first sight. I chose the Tucker chair for its modern twist on the classic Windsor style. They bring so much character to the space, giving it a more collected and lived in feel. The black really makes a bold statement in this otherwise casual space, don’t you think?

The chairs make a great addition to the living room as well. When we don’t have guests over, I prefer to keep one of our chairs adjacent to the fireplace. So not only are the chairs functional, they also serve as beautiful decor in our living room. Functional AND pretty is always a winning combination in my book.

We have had the chairs for several weeks now and have been so impressed. Casey is a tough critic when it comes to my shopping antics and he was skeptical about giving up our cushioned chairs for solid wood. That is a big reason it has taken us so long to make the change! He has given me permission to share that he loves the new chairs! He says he “honestly cannot believe how comfortable, lightweight and high quality they are.” I couldn’t agree more. They’re amazing.
