I recently asked my INSTAGRAM friends for some fun activities for the younger kids (ages 12-18 months) while we’re all spending more time at home. As promised, here are the great suggestions and tips! Thank you to those who shared!
Stacking red solo cups
Rotate toys daily to avoid boredom or overstimulation
Stroller walks
Swing
Sensory Bins, there are tons of great links on Pinterest like this ONE and this ONE
Fun, colorful geographic photos to look at (print or clip from magazines)
Finger paints, here is a RECIPE, or you can order HERE
Color with crayons
Play with Tupperware!
Clean painting, like this one HERE!
Lots of recs to check out @busytoddler on IG!
My friend, Melissa @melissa.brookes, on IG also has some clever ideas for toddlers!
Tape a paper towel tube to the wall vertically and drop cotton balls or Pom Poms into the tube
Tape contact drawer liner to the wall (sticky side out) and stick cotton balls or Pom Poms to it
I started a board on Pinterest with more ideas if you’re interested! You can find that HERE!
I hope that you and your families are healthy and well. If you have any other ideas, feel free to add them in the comments below!
